#8: 5 Great Basic Vacation Packing List Items for Every Trip
In my personal opinion, packing is the hardest part of traveling. It’s so stressful trying to make sure you don’t forget anything while also not over packing. Yet there are some items that should be on every vacation packing list. Check out my top 5 “don’t travel without” items.
Disclaimer: I have personally used all these items in my travels, and am in no way being paid by their manufacturers to endorse these products. They just happen to be favorites on my vacation packing list, so I am sharing them with you.
Must Haves on Every Vacation Packing List
1) SKROSS PRO Plus USB World Adapter
This thing is man’s gift to international power access. I challenge you to find a power outlet that it doesn’t support. It handles and input voltage of 100V – 250V in over 150 countries worldwide. Plus it’s both durable and compact for easy packing.
Not traveling international? This adapter is still a great add to your vacation packing list. It has 2 USB ports for simultaneous charging of devices which is removable to expose the wall plug insert. It takes away time wasted waiting for electronics to charge.
2) GRAYL Ultralight Water Purifier + Filter Bottle
Clean drinkable water on the go sometimes is easier said than done. Even when it is, our generation is wasting millions of plastic bottles daily on drinking water. The Grayl Water Purifier is the solution to staying hydrated and eco-friendly.
Not only does it filter water, but it actually purifies it, removing harmful toxins and bacteria in 15 seconds at the push of a button. Each filter will last you roughly 2-3 months of drinkable water. It’s an absolutely great add to any vacation packing list.
3) myCharge Adventureplus Portable Charger
Let’s face it, in this day and age almost every traveler depends on electronics. The myCharge Adventure Hub is great for on the go charges when you just have to take that last picture but you’re phone’s at 2% battery life.
The myCharge Adventure Hub is compact, lightweight and durable. A full charge on it will get you roughly 4 full charges on your cell phone, but it can also charge things like tablets or bluetooth headphones.
4) SENSO Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones
You won the lottery on a flight and ended up in a row with a screaming child. Or on a bus with two Chatty Cathy’s who just wont stop discussing last weeks episode of Days of Our Lives. Minutes feel like hours, and hours feel like days.
Or…you can drown them out. These Senso noise cancelling headphones make it on every vacation packing list because the wrap around cord means you’re less likely to lose them, and they do a fantastic job drowning out the humming of the engine on an airplane. Major plus: they’re super affordable.
5) Dr. Bronner's - Organic Hand Sanitizer Spray Lavender
Germs. Every traveler’s nightmare. Did you know that most cases of food poisoning are caused by unclean hands? Most of the time you don’t realize it, but when you’re traveling you touch a lot of things, so clean hands are your first line of defense against bacteria that can cause all sorts of diseases.
I love Dr. Bronner’s for a bunch of reasons. It’s easy on the skin, which is a great plus because most sanitizers dry out the skin. Doesn’t hurt that it’s organic, and the soft smell of lavender is a great calming alternative to the alcohol-y smell of most other sanitizers. Definitely a must have on every vacation travel list.
