Hi, my name is Amanda and I'm a travelholic!
In all reality, I’m just a girl who has a serious addiction to travel. All I ever really want to do is eat travel, breathe travel, and dream travel. When I’m not off in some distant land, I am planning it in my head.
Somewhere around my teenage years I learned that exploration is a venom that runs deep in my veins. Since then, I have spent every waking moment lost in fantasies of adventures in far off lands.
The world fascinates me, and so I have made it my goal to see as much of it as I can in my lifetime. While others save for houses with white picket fences, I save for first class flights half way around the world. My passport is my single most prized possession.
In my spare time, I like to research travel. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of finding a steal on a flight or beach-front hotel room. Literally everyone who knows me calls me before they book anything to anywhere.
Over the years I have been blessed enough to visit just under 50 countries. In those travels, my eyes have been opened glorious things waiting to be discovered on our amazing earth. For every place I visit, three more get added to my never ending bucket list.
My style of travel is very eclectic. I like a fancy beach day in a cabana on a private beach as much as a hole in the wall restaurant with the best local food. The biggest “about me” quality is never knocking something until I try it.

Born and bred a New Yorker, I grew up in the most culturally diverse city in the world. As a result, it made me very curious to the amazing intricacies of other places and civilizations.
Each in their own way possesses so many wonderful things, from language to art, architecture to natural beauty. I never find myself lacking in travel inspiration, whether it be for myself or to inspire others.
After finishing a Master’s degree, I took a job as ground staff for British Airways out of JFK Airport. The fact that that was the best job I ever had should speak volumes about me.
Finally, after years of globe-trotting, I decided to start Eternal Escapades as a means of sharing my travel experiences. This includes things like my favorite visited places, as well as tips and “don’t dos”.
Above all, the intention of this page is to inspire others to chase the wonders of the world. Certainly, with all the incredible marvels on Earth I believe it is our duty to experience as much of it as we can.
